As a celebrated sports figure and more importantly, as a Parent, Mike Ferris, of Ferris Racing, feels it is his obligation to be a positive role model for young people across America. Disillusioned and frustrated by the rising number of teenage illegal street racing fatalities, he created the non-profit organization, Project Direction, to help guide our youth down the right track. Through Mike’s celebrity, the emphasis of his project is to challenge our young to stay focused on getting a good education and to further promote safety through their own good choices.
Mike’s goals are: |

inform students about the dangers of street racing. |
· To promote Project Direction at high schools throughout the country. |
· To appeal to high school students while being featured at local promotions and special events. |
· To highlight Project Direction in newsprint, and in radio and television programming. |
· To feature Project Direction in public service announcements. |
· To assist with local law enforcement safety programs. |
· To create college scholarships to encourage students to stay in school and get a good education. |
Scholarship Program Mike believes in the importance of a well rounded education and has set up a scholarship program to support that belief. The Ferris Racing Team is generously donating 5% of all winnings, marketing ventures, sponsorships and endorsements to create an opportunity for well deserving high school students to continue on to higher education.
